Since 2010 she has claimed to be a licensed physician and right before she was pregnant with Chase’s baby she claimed she “was dying from breast cancer”. She told everyone she was getting a port put in for chemo – and then claimed the port was in fact put in. No one EVER saw it, along with never her never leaving campus to do chemo or take any treatments. At that same time frame with “a port” in place she went began to engage in a 5K mud run. Kristen Hardin has a tough past with parents at ABC as she has been an “upper campus” teacher after almost ruining what little reputation the upper elementary had left. She has fallen out with too many families to count, often accusing her flat out of being a predator, a liar, and completely untrustworthy with children.
Kristen has manufactured stories about her past and her education time and time again, has participated in “diagnosing” children as well as claiming to have training in dealing with ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, and other behavioral issues or concerns. THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE. Kristen Hardin has absolutely NONE of training she claims. Notice on her biography they provide no school information when claiming degrees or schooling.
Her lack of education and even basic understanding of the disabilities they marketed to would show after incidents in classrooms would erupt and Kristen would have no idea how to handle the situation responsibly. She would constantly ostrasize and single out children, often having conflicting stories with them with it came to parent intervention and involvement. Parents would punish their children based on the things that Kristen would say, only to discover she had been embellishing the issue or flat out lying on their child.
This was Kristens bio on the abc Montessori website two years ago:
Kristen Hardin first encountered the Montessori method as a student of one of our fellow teachers, Mrs. Siromi. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s in Education and English, Master’s in Special Education and Biological Sciences and currently pursuing her PhD. in Psychology and Medicinal Science. She is currently taking her Master’s in Montessori Training under The Center for Guided Montessori Studies, which will position her to train and develop other teachers locally and internationally. After teaching and coordinating Special Education within the public school system for numerous years, she realized her passion for Montessori and joined our team in 2011.
Over the years Kristen has deepened her understanding of Montessori principles through parent education and teacher training and is now the Upper Elementary Lead Teacher and is now the Upper Campus Director.
This is what is currently on their live website:
